Hertz Foundation Graduate Fellowship

Established by the Fannie and John Hertz Foundation, the Hertz Fellowship supports the most remarkable PhD students in the physical, biological and engineering sciences in the U.S. College seniors wishing to pursue a PhD in any of the fields of particular interest to the Foundation, as well as graduate students already in the process of doing so, may apply. The award is based on merit and consists of a cost-of-education allowance and a personal-support stipend. Between 15 and 20 students are awarded a Hertz Fellowship each year. Since 1963, the Foundation has awarded more than 1,100 doctoral fellowships. The deadline is in the fall.
